Accreditation within AANP involves a thorough review process ensuring that educational activities meet high standards of quality and relevance to nurse practitioners. This process validates the content, delivery, and overall impact of continuing education (CE) programs, ensuring they enhance professional practice and patient care.
The current process incorporates two systems - SM Apply and Aptify. The goal is to explore the option to streamline the process by integrating SM Apply with Salesforce, allowing for a more efficient and centralized application management system.
Aptify stores information about approved providers, including their contact details, application status, and accreditation history. The integration with SM Apply will allow for a more comprehensive view of the application process, including automated notifications, reminders, and payment processing. The goal is to improve the overall user experience and streamline the application review and approval process.
Salesforce will need to store and manage data related to the accreditation process, including application details, applicant information, accreditation criteria, and approval status. The system will also need to generate reports, track application status, and facilitate communication between applicants and AANP staff. By consolidating all accreditation-related data and processes within Salesforce, AANP aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accreditation process.
The integration of SM Apply would require an SSO (Single Sign-On) solution to ensure a seamless user experience for applicants and internal users. This will allow users to access both systems with a single set of credentials, reducing the need for multiple logins and enhancing data security. This will also let us tie back the applicant identity to the Salesforce record, ensuring a consistent user experience across both platforms.
I'm not sure it will be worth the effort to do this for go live, but it does appear there is a ready to go SM Apply / Salesforce integration.
We still at least need the custom objects created in Salesforce so staff can log the applications and track them through the process.
AANP CE Accreditation
Description: This area focuses on accrediting CE courses and materials created by AANP staff. It ensures that the educational content developed internally adheres to the highest standards of educational quality and relevance for nurse practitioners.
Individual CE Accreditation
Description: This process allows individual applicants to submit their CE activities for accreditation. It involves evaluating the submitted activities based on criteria such as educational content, objectives, and delivery methods, ensuring they provide valuable learning experiences for participants.
Approved Provider Applications
Description: This area involves accrediting organizations that provide CE activities. Approved providers must demonstrate their capability to consistently deliver high-quality educational programs. The application process assesses the organization’s educational practices, faculty qualifications, and evaluation methods to ensure they meet AANP’s standards.
